I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
